| appearance Tifa is about 5'5", and has always been known for her rather voluptuous appearance. She has long dark brown hair and red eyes (though they change from red in FFVII to brown in Advent Children and back to red in KH2), and wears a leather vest with a white shirt underneath it. The vest zips up in the center, and is short enough to show her belly button, but not nearly as revealing as the garb she wore in FFVII. She wears knee length leather shorts with bows tied around the sides, and an apron in the front and long pleated half-skirt behind. Tifa wears shoes very similar to black Converses, although they have low heels and aren't laced, but simply tied at the ankle. She always wears the ring Cloud gave her on her left ring finger and teardrop shaped silver earrings. And, to finish it all off, she wears a pink ribbon tied around her left bicep as a tribute to Aerith. abilities Tifa's speciality is hand to hand combat. Her loyalty and fighting prowess are obviously strengths. Zangan called her his most talented student. She's very sympathetic, and will often help people she doesn't even know. Her heart is generally in the right place. For the most part, she's a very normal young woman if you don't count the fact that she helped save the world twice. weaknesses Her loyalty, once again. If her friends are in trouble she'll put her life on the line without a second thought. Also, her hesitation when it comes to sharing her feelings and making decisions. She's almost gotten herself killed for Marlene, Denzel and Cloud countless times in the past. |

| Tifa is a genuinely good person, but after the death of her family and her move to Midgar, she was a bit hardened to the world. After being so idolized as a child, a move to a metropolis where people only cared about themselves must have been quite a shock. However, this also taught her to value her relationships with people more highly. Tifa will go to any lengths to protect and help the people she loves. Despite this, there are times when Tifa isn't sure what to do. She questions her own judgement to the point where she sometimes refuses to make decisions. She considers every possible outcome and implication of her actions to the point where it sends her head spinning. And even though she can't be blamed for not knowing what to do in every situation, it's a fault that tortures her. She believes that it is her duty to be selfless and act strong for her friends. She often pretends to be optimistic, raising her friend's morales and giving them hope, while inside she is just as scared as they are. It's only on very rare occasions with Cloud that she lets slip how terrified she really is, seeking reassurance that everything will be all right. In some cases, however, she keeps her emotions hidden for fear of rejection and criticism. She chooses to keep silent rather than open herself to other's opinions. In this sense, she's fiercely independent. At the same time, the promise she asked Cloud to make her shows a longing for someone to take care of her. In these cases, Tifa's actions usually do the talking for her. Despite Tifa's reluctance to verbally express her feelings, her actions often do the talking for her. As she says herself, "words aren't the only thing that tell people what you're thinking," and this is proven true by her countless times. In the end, Tifa has nothing left to fight for; she keeps going only out of devotion and loyalty to her friends. She would, and does, risk her life for them, proving that even though she sometimes can't find the right words to show her love for them, they mean the world to her. For example, her trademark motion is to put her hands behind her back and take a step backward. She does this when she's speaking about something close to her heart, usually with Cloud. |
